Our second daughter Eleanor was born December 20th, 2013. Since December I have been updating folks about my belly bump series and photos of Eleanor on my facebook account and personal side project Blooms in June but thought I would share my entire series here. I have been slowly getting back into the swing of things and trying to get back to our “normal life” but I have found that there is no going back to what use to be and now we are trying to find a new normal. Juggling photoshoots, childcare, video shoots, editing, changing diapers, changing sheets, and cleaning is a lot of work. No wonder there is an established “maternity leave” in our society. When I had Ada I was blessed to have 16 weeks of maternity leave. This time around I am working for myself so I started back working around 6 weeks and never really got that “maternity leave” because I had Ada to take care of as well. Bless those who have multiples, lots of babies and toddlers running around, or go back to work full time after 6 weeks. Those women are strong. I haven’t had a ton of time to blog and post my latest photography work besides on my photography facebook account but I thought I would take a few minutes and post my entire Belly Bump Series.

I am so thankful for friends and family and photography client referrals and sweet families and newborns! Edith Pearl is my friend Katie’s beautiful baby girl. Katie as I post these photos I am praying for this sweet baby girl and all the lives that will come in contact with her and all the things she will accomplish in her life. Praying for her generation and the future. Thanks for inviting me into your home.
Check out this cute little guy that looks just like his daddy! Reagan loved being outside and is so loved by all those who surround him, even his doggy Bauer. Chad and Stephanie, I am praying for this little babe and all the lives he will touch and all the adventures his future has in store for him. May he always be blessed with love and support and an awesome family.
I have announced everywhere on social media now that Chad and I are expecting our second girl at the end of December so it’s about time that I announced on here about the news. We are really excited and we are so glad Ada will have a little sister.
We have gotten requests to do another Belly Bump Series and so we decided to take photos every week again but we are changing it up a little. We started taking photos at Week 18 and I am now 22 weeks along. It seemed a little exhausting to do this again this go around but it’s a fun project for Chad and I to work on together and I know I will love looking back at these photos.
Presenting Baby Girl #2 Belly Bump Series.
I went to college with Chad and Stephanie and was so honored that they asked me to take Stephanie’s maternity photos and their sweet babe’s newborn photos. I can’t wait for their little one to arrive in a couple weeks. Congrats Chad and Stephanie, you will be great parents. I can already tell you love that baby so much.
Three of my favorites things were in the same room about a month ago. The Reeder’s, childbirth, and the opportunity to take photos and video. Annie and I met as young college students and have been apart of each others lives through many life milestones: from weddings to 4 children being born between the two of us. We have worked together, been apart of bible studies together and just lived life together since about 2004. Proud to call Annie a friend and so grateful that I was able to document her most recent child’s birth. I was unable to attend her last birth because I was in labor giving birth to our daughter Ada. Olive and Ada were born 12 hours apart on May 15th 2011. One more event bringing us closer together.
Theodore Orion Reeder was born at home late June 25th. Josh was an excellent birth partner and husband and Annie was peaceful and brave. I am so thankful I could be there. I love you guys and look forward to our beautiful future together.
I just love this sweet family and am so glad I’m apart of their lives. I can’t wait to watch Jon and Bethany’s kids grow up and look forward to the years ahead. Thanks Melton’s for letting me photograph your cute family.
I love taking photos for these wonderful people. I have gotten to know them over the years taking their headshots, family photos, website photos, and wedding photos. It’s like a family reunion whenever I arrive and I always feel so welcomed. We also have a great time and exchange lots of laughs. Here are a few from our session last week.
I went over last week to John and Stephanie’s house to take photos of their family and newborn baby Van. Stephanie and I actually graduated high school together and I had a great time catching up with her family. Just wanted to make sure everyone notices Van’s nursery. It should be in a magazine, or at least on Pinterest. Stephanie did an awesome job painting and decorating. Thanks again Steph for inviting me over to capture your little one. He’s precious and I love all his hair!
